Is work-life balance even exists?

Doomed reality

Mainly, people concentrate on their immediate duties during the daytime and only a tiny percentage of them are mindful about sharing additional time for their own needs. It is devastating to see how individuals drown in their jobs and work-related tasks. I have observed so many of them during my recent and previous jobs. To be honest, though, it is not ultimately their fault. We should only consider the hours they spend at work but also remember that traffic stealing additional time while men and women commute to their workplaces and back home. In that case, ordinary citizens have only two to four hours daily for their personal lives. Keeping in mind that those people are tired after work, I doubt they would much rather rest on a couch and scroll on YouTube Shorts.

I am not calling you to neglect your job, but thinking all day about what happened there is strange and even dangerous, as it melts your ability to concentrate on life after you leave your office. Yes, you should think about what you would do after work because it is your real life. Your friends, not your colleagues, your home, not your office room or desk, your family not your team – these should be your priorities. In combat, “Your personal life versus your job” always choose the former. All these recommendations are typical for influencers persuading you to buy their courses to make you a happier person in 3 weeks. But, I am not selling anything here so, I have to admit that there is a catch.

It is not working

You can be determined about putting your personal goal in the first place, but it is not working if your job sucks. You can utilize any fancy techniques for making your life better, going back to normal, and so on, but if job conditions are making you nervous and stressed, then they are not going to work! Likewise, you either change your job or just forget about balance in your life. The best option without a fraction of a doubt is a remote job. Nothing in the world can make your work-life balance better than executing your tasks sitting on your favorite armchair wearing things appropriate at home and being calm and relaxed. Nothing can beat working from home. I have tasted it during COVID, and I am longing for it now. No commute time, no wasting my precious time in traffic, just pure efficiency!

I am sure that people globally appreciate lockdowns, and am adamant that they are not comfortable admitting it. But it is true. Only because they realized how much time they could get without leaving their houses every day to make it to the places where they earn money. However, now, sadly, many companies insist on regular attendance and fiercely eliminating all remote tasks. In my opinion, employers think this way: when my employees are in the office, they work more while sitting at home they do less and I can’t control it. The mindset of a caveman. Saving drastically on office rent, utilities, and parking lots is worth meticulous consideration. And also, every person has his limits, and you must not make them work more, because the quality of that work is poor. But still, business owners chose going backwards.
